Rockland Boulders Internships

Sales Internship
Hours Required: 15-25 hours/week, available for some night/weekend events
 
Responsibilities:
 
-Research target markets
 
-Collect, organize and input data
 
-Attend community events to gain new clients and increase exposure
 
-Interact with fan base to promote the product
 
-Gain a knowledge of ticketing plans and field questions from fans
 
-Carry out sales cold calls as instructed by supervisor
-Research/develop new and exciting ticket packages
-Assist with the growth of season ticket packages
 
Qualifications:
 
-Seeking a degree in marketing, sales, business, sport management, communication or related field
 
-Must be highly organized
 
-Must be personable both over the phone and in-person
 
-Must be detail oriented
 
-Must be creative
 
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Hours Required: 15-25 hours per week, available for some night/weekend events
 
Responsibilities:
 
-Fulfill donation requests
 
-Schedule/attend community events
 
-Assist with administrative tasks
 
-Help generate promotional schedule for off-season and 2015 season
 
-Contribute to off-season marketing plan
 
-Research promotions and marketing methods
 
-Periodically take inventory of promotional materials
 
Qualifications:
 
-Working toward degree in marketing, community relations, promotions, event planning/services, sport management, communication or related field
 
-Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
 
-Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
 
-Must have strong research skills

Hours:  15-20 hours per week; availability on nights/weekends preferred

Responsibilities:
 
-Assist in website maintenance pertaining to team events and news stories
 
-Write press releases including game recaps and feature stories
 
-Update social media accounts and develop new social media strategies
 
-Attend and publicize team and community events
 
Qualifications:
 
-Working toward degree in public relations, communications, journalism, sports marketing, or a related field.
 
-Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premeire, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro, SoundCloud
 
-Be creative and open-minded in the approach to public relations campaigns
 
-Have strong written and verbal communication skills
 
-Have good organization and research skills
 
-Experience in writing feature stories and/or game recaps preffered
 
-Be comfortable working on deadline and have the ability to change priorities instantly

Ticket Operations Internship
 
Hours:  10-15 hours per week

Description:
Acquire a working knowledge of Tickets.com and CRM technology
 
Assist with statistical projects including demographic research from prior seasons
 
Analyze ticket sales and attendance
 
Assist in the execution and implementation of all mini plans and packages
 
Help in the recruitment of part-time staff for the 2015 season
 
Qualifications:

Working towards a college degree in sports management, business, management or related field.  
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
Must be organized and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Must work effectively under pressure.
Strong organizational, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Team-oriented.
Must be able to work select weekend events.

Operations Internship
 
Responsibilities:
 
As an operations intern, you will assist in the setup and breaking down of game day/off season events, experience both the administrative side involved in sports management, the problem solving needed in piecing together all the details involved in a game day to keep corporate sponsorships, clients, and fans pleased, and the man power needed to make all the above happen. This position is intended for those who do not want to sit behind a desk.

-Candidate can work with his/her  hands
-Posses strong leadership qualities
-Works well in a team environment

Record Retention Internship
 
Responsibilities:
 
-Report to Chief Financial Office (CFO)
-Research and draft "Record Retention Policy"
-Finalize "Record Retention Policy" with input from Senior Management
-Review current records and separate active from inactive records
-Shred inactive records and safely and securely store active records
-Create and set-up procedure for separation of active from inactive records going forward as well as safe and secure storage
-Internship sceduled at the convenience of the intern

Clubhouse Manager Internship (2)
 
Responsibilities:
 
-Enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a college Sports Management Program
-Must love baseball and want to learn the management side at a professional level
-Knowledge of laundry/stains and ability to learn food service side of the clubhouse
-40+ hours per week, nights and weekends
 
Qualifications:
 
-Self-starter with the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
-Must be organized and able to prioritize to meet the needs of athletes and coaches
-Must work effectively under pressure
-Possess strong organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Athletic Trainer Internship
 
Responsibilities:
 
-Enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a CAATE approved college Athletic Training Program
-Currently certified in First Aid and CPR/AED
-40+ hours per week, nights and weekends
 
Qualifications:
 
-Self-starter with the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
-Must be organized and able to prioritize to meet the needs of athletes and coaches
-Must work effectively under pressure
-Possess strong organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

ROCKLAND BOULDERS BASEBALL
Entering its 5th year of professional minor league baseball - competing in the Can-Am League with teams in Canada, New York, and New Jersey - we play 100 games in about 109 days over the summer months.  We earned Organization of the Year  in 2012 and 2014.  We have the nicest ballpark in the area and our league.  Come be a part of the fun this summer.  The clubhouse manager position is a paid position.  Please note that all internships with the Boulders are unpaid, but are for college credit or experience
